We Like Work was started the day Nic responded to an urgent request on a local Facebook group that needed some junk cleared as soon as possible!
We reached out…
That was early April 2022, since then we’ve gone on to answer thousands of new requests from members of our community in Amherst, Nova Scotia and surrounding areas within Cumberland County.
In September of 2022, Hurriance Fiona really tested our ability to help our clients & communinty. After a long night of extreme winds, we woke up to a complete mess here in Northern Nova Scotia. Power was unavailable for 10+ days in many areas and homes had received significant damages and some roads were not passable.
Leading up to the storm, we put the word out for everyone to get ready. Working with local community organizations, we were able to ensure our local shelter had emergency generators, lights, food & bedding. We also got right to work assessing the damage to our clients properties and spent the following weeks and months helping people & businesses in our community recover from the damages the storm inflicted.
Prioritizing, planning & scheduling work is what we do each and every day. We may not always get it right, but we will always make it right. We incorporate technology in a lot of our daily operations so that we can deliver consistent, reliable, and quality results for our clients.
We’ve grown our team to over 15 people who show up day in and day on to get work done and help us craft our story each and every day.
We’re all still learning and plan to continue working on our mission of helping those in our community by becoming more and more effective with the resources and technology available to us and naturally, your support.
